This genuine Montana Sapphire has a grayish blue color with a touch of yellow in natural light and in artificial light the yellow comes out more. It's a color shift stone.
This Sapphire has good clarity and is eye clean. It is a vintage stone, cut before 1998. It was stored with other Sapphires and the edges got a bit worn down over time. The only visual effect that this has is that it happened to highlight the star at the bottom of the stone and makes it a bit more pronounced. I'd happily use this stone for an engagement ring or center stone for any project.
